Thanksgiving
Today we spent Thanksgiving at Julia's Restaurant on Broadway in Seattle. http://juliasrestaurantseattle.com/broadway.htm
Mike, Sue, and I had a terrific time. We were served a delicious 4 course meal with salad, homemade cream of squash soup, free range turkey main dish with all the trimmings, and pumpkin pie for dessert. It was a great day but we missed the rest of our family who are celebrating elsewhere today -- in Salem, San Diego, Costa Rica, and Spain.

Easter brunch was celebrated today at our house with guests Jim and Vickie, Sue, Diane, Scott, Tyler, and Lucas. After a vigorous Easter Egg hunt by Tyler we sat down to a delicious meal. Jim provided a scrumptous guiche, Sue a refreshing fruit salad, Diane sauteed tasty sausages and I served Apple Pecan French Toast. It was a lovely day with lovely guests.

Hike today
Our hike this morning began on a cold and cloudy day from Sky Country Trailhead on Cougar Mt. We traversed up the varied trails to Anti Aircraft Trailhead noticing the budding greenery and early foliage on the surrounding area. The day soon brightened until full sun appeared in the sky. We hike 2.5 hours and covered 4 miles on the energizing and enjoyable hike. Afterwards the group, composed of the Carlson's and the Lowry's, headed down to Panera Bread http://www.panerabread.com/ at the Landing in Renton. Sue walked down and joined us for a delightful visit. It was a very fine day.

Celebration
Thursday March 24 was the Grand Opening of the Brettler Family Place at Sandpoint. The Lowry Community Center was recognized at this time. Mike and I were at this event along with Sue, Diane, Tyler, and Lucas. Mike was honored due to his bill passed while in Congress in 1987 called the McKinney Act which gave relief to hundreds of thousands of homeless persons and made this project possible.
